Wraptor Media Encoder announced

Wraptor ME enables applications beyond traditional theatrical digital cinema DCP distribution.     It utilizes a number of QuVIS wavelet and image processing patents to provide phenomenal encoding efficiency for theatrical content, opening the door to a whole new world of ultra high quality secure DCP media distribution possibilities.   Early applications have included satellite DCP distribution and private network distribution with specialized DCP requirements.  Wraptor ME now supports resolutions to 8K, traditional 4K and 2K and even lower resolutions for legacy content.  By default, it supports the DCI standard formats and quality with HDR12 dynamic range.  In addition to traditional DCP support, other related formats are being added, including  eDCPs which enable even lower data rates and can be fully inter-operable with standard DCPs.  A third class of cinema quality media, eCPs provide the same resolution quality and efficiency ranges in a simpler single media file suitable for media acquisition, working storage and post production, archive, and even steaming.   Like other Wraptor products, encode channel quality and processing times are excellent and deterministic.   The user specified QPE process makes encoding deterministic, which can eliminate process QC requirements for automated applications or intense workflows.
